You know what finally pushed me to start this newsletter?
(It’s not what you’d think.)
I was invited to speak at an amazing event — packed with my dream clients.
When I submitted my speaker form, they asked: “How big is your email list?”
Not how many LinkedIn followers I had.
Not how many comments my posts got.
My email list.
And guess what?
I didn’t have one.
Zero.
But the real reason I had to walk away from that opportunity:
It wasn’t because I didn’t know I needed a list.
Or because I didn’t have anything to say.
But because I kept waiting for it to be perfect.
The perfect first email.
The perfect “big launch.”
The perfect welcome sequence.
And while I waited for “perfect”…
Opportunities passed me by.
Conversations I could’ve started never happened.
My audience stayed stuck on rented land.
Yes, rented vs. owned land matters —
If LinkedIn shut down tomorrow, I’d lose access to all my network.
But that wasn’t the real issue.
Perfectionism was.
And if you’re anything like most people I work with,
it’s probably holding you back on LinkedIn, too.
Waiting for the perfect post.
Waiting for the perfect offer.
Waiting for the perfect brand voice.
Waiting, waiting, waiting…
Meanwhile, your future clients are out there — looking for someone just like you.
Lesson of the week:
Done > Perfect.
Always.

(Just another reminder: you don’t own your followers.)
Until next time,

P.S. If perfectionism is keeping you stuck, send me the post, draft, or messy idea you’re sitting on. I’ll help you flush it out.
