“What do I do with my company page?”
I get asked this all the time.
Actually, most people think it’s MORE important than their personal page.
(Especially people new to LinkedIn)
Here’s the thing: Company pages DO matter. Just not how most people think they do.
Your Company Page Strategy (That Actually Works)
Most people get the company page approach completely backwards. Here’s what to do instead:
1) Flip the traditional approach
Instead of: Company posts → Employees repost
Do this: You post → Company reposts
Why? Personal content gets 98% more visibility. Plus, it puts a face to your brand.
2) Use the “invite to follow” feature
You can add 250 people per month. Make this a weekly task.
I recommend inviting 50-60 people each Tuesday.
Mark it on your calendar.
Quick Win: Start with past clients, current prospects, and people who’ve engaged with your personal content.
3) Check your followers regularly
Every few weeks, see who’s following.
You’ll be surprised who’s there.
This is your warm audience – people who’ve already expressed interest.
Quick Win: Set a monthly reminder to review new followers and reach out to at least 5.
4) Reach out to followers
These aren’t cold prospects.
They’re warm connections who’ve already shown interest.
A simple message like: “Hey [Name]! I noticed you’re following [Company] on LinkedIn.
Thanks for the support! How are things in your world?” can restart conversations.
The 10-Minute Company Page Hack That Paid Off
Last month, I decided to look at my company page followers.
82 followers. Not impressive, right?
Most people would ignore this “underwhelming” number.
I recognized most of the names.
But I reached out to just 5 people:
→ 2 former colleagues I hadn’t talked to in years
→ A former manager in a new position
→ 2 people from past opportunities when I was at a different company
The result?
✅ Booked 4 calls
✅ 3 turned into real opportunities
✅ Tomorrow I’ve got a second call with the CEO and leadership team
✅ Another just left his VP role and wants to bring me into his new company (we’re doing a workshop first next week).
Not bad for 5 messages to 82 followers.
What’s funny is one of them was literally tasked to take on LinkedIn sales for growing his side of the business and was having struggles, yet he never would have reached out to me had I not reached out to him.
You just never know who’s silently following your company waiting for you to make the first move.
The Mindset Shift
Your company page isn’t for corporate fluff.
It’s a relationship-building tool disguised as a marketing asset.
The people following your company page are already interested in what you do.
Don’t ignore them. Reach out.
Some of your best opportunities might be sitting right there.
